The advancement of technology has given talented but unknown people the means to make their work available to thousands of people around the globe.
Redbubble allows you to be one of these persons who sell their artwork to the platform, or you can "sell" their art in print on demand products and pay them a "cut."
Is Redbubble legit? Can you make money with Redbubble? These are some of the questions that I will answer in this unbiased review and the other essential things you need to know. So, I don't want you to keep waiting, now let's dive into the details!
Is Redbubble a Scam ?
Martin Hosking, Paul Vanzella, Peter Styles, and Robert Stephens
An online marketplace where artists can sell their artwork. And people can use existing designs to use and sell their own print-on-demand products.
People who have artistic skills and want to sell their artwork. Those who want to make money online selling print-on-demand products.
Redbubble is an online marketplace. It was formed in 2006 and has been operational since then. They currently have thousands of artists who submit and sell their custom designs.
What Is Redbubble?
Redbubble is an online marketplace focused on clothing like t-shirts, leggings, tanks, and other stuff like mugs, stickers, and even tapestries.
It was founded in 2006 and still operating for more than 14 years now. They have thousands of artists that are submitting and selling their custom designs in Redbubble.
Redbubble offers independent artists a chance to earn a living, while buyers can use original items, clothes, accessories, and everything between those categories. This website is not just for artists looking to earn income with the use of their designs, but it is also open for people who just want to browse and buy items with custom designs.
This website has been very successful in the years that they have been in this industry. Maybe that is the reason why a lot of people think that they are just a scam. But is it really possible to earn from selling your custom designs? How can you do that with Redbubble? We will discuss that in the following segments.
How Does Redbubble Work?
Based on what I checked, Redbubble is a straightforward website to use. It is a print-on-demand website, so basically, they give their buyers the option to choose their own design and print it on the item they want, like t-shirts, mugs, and more.
I also found out that Redbubble does not have an app, is only available on the website, which may be a downside for some buyers who want easy access to the website anytime.
And when it comes to earning money with Redbubble, all you need to have is the skills, pieces of equipment, and applications to create your custom design. Once you have it, you can create an account with Redbubble and start uploading your own arrangements to begin promoting your own product.
If you are not into online marketing, don't worry, Redbubble has enough traffic. This means that the number of people who visit their website daily is enough to provide your designs with the proper exposure.
Please note that is not a 100% guarantee that your designs will be featured by Redbubble, so you will still need to pay close attention to your listings.

This kind of way to earn money is not effective to all of us especially if you are someone who is not into the arts or you have other expertise. But no need to worry, there are a lot of alternative ways to earn money online.
Can You Make Money With RedBubble?
If you ask me can I earn money with Redbubble? Yes, you definitely can. However, you need to either have the ability to create beautiful custom designs or be willing to invest in some artwork.
Another common question is, how much is the percentage that Redbubble is taking from every sale?
Actually, part of the answer to that depends on you, let me explain.
Redbubble has a base rate for each item that you will upload and sell. That is the price for them to print and ship the item. Then they also have the artist margin. This is where you will earn as this serves as the royalty per sale. By default, this is set to 20%, but you can set this higher or lower.
Resuming, the base rate + the artist margin = retail price that the customer needs to pay for the item.
To earn a lot and achieve the goals you want with Redbubble, you need to create incredible designs to quickly get interested clients into buying them. A sense of creativity and originality is critical when it comes to this sort of business.
What I Don’t Like About Redbubble.
There are things about Redbubble that you need to consider before trying to sell your artwork. Here are things that I don’t like about Redbubble.
The Quality Of Prints.
There are complaints about the quality of Redbubble prints, and reports say that some are blurry. This makes people wonder about their quality control standards, which is crucial for any business, online or not.
Redbubble should ensure that all of its products are of good quality not to affect artists or sellers.
Not For Everyone.
As mentioned earlier, this type of industry is not for everyone. Besides having good graphic design skills, which not all of us are good at, it is essential to have a good dose of creativity and originality. We all have different aptitudes and should choose to work on something we really enjoy and are proficient at. Only designs that stand out will be successful on Redbubble.
What I Like About Redbubble.
Of course, there are things that you can look forward to trying Redbubble. Here are the things that I like the most.
Creating An Account Is Free.
If you are going to create your account with Redbubble, it is totally free, and you will not be required to purchase any package or pay membership fees monthly.
This is good for someone who wants to start an online business and does not want to invest in membership fees.
Anyone who looks for a business wants to get paid 😉
You can choose to be paid through Paypal or wire transfer.
Please note that you need to reach a $20 threshold before getting any payment from Redbubble.
Payments are processed on the 15th day of each month except if they fall on a weekend. In this case, they'll be processed in the next workday.
If you choose to be paid through Paypal, it will only take a couple of days to get the money into your account. Just make sure to use a verified account so you can get your automatic payments smoothly.
Bank payments can take up to 7 business days.
