Want to know more about the Wealthy Affiliate Scam? I just love to write about this topic, so you are in the right place!
My name is Pedro, and I have been a proud Wealthy Affiliate member since 2016. I’m about to share with you my personal experience, to help you figure out “for yourself” if Wealthy Affiliate is legit or not.
What is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is an online platform that provides training & tools on how to build your online business from scratch.
Whether you are an online guru or just starting an internet-based business, Wealthy Affiliate is a great program to be part of because:
- you have a massive amount of educational matter
- you get access to top-notch hosting (up to 10 websites)
- you can brainstorm with successful online entrepreneurs
- 24/7 live chat with the community
- weekly live video classes
- a beginner affiliate course
- search engine optimization lessons
- an advanced Bootcamp training & affiliate program
- access to a keyword research tool
- ability to earn as you learn
Some people refer to WA as the Wealthy Affiliate University because once you finish all the courses, you will get knowledgeable in online/digital marketing in a way that allows you to either become a successful self-entrepreneur or work for companies as an SEO / online marketing advisor.
How does Wealthy Affiliate work?
The starter account gives you access to the first 5 lessons, which are the foundations of your online business. It also gives you a perfect idea if this sort of “make money online” solution is the right choice for you.
Once you join WA and start a free account, you will have a tutor that is the person that referred you to the platform. You can always ask for help and guidance from your tutor, but the idea is to get you started with the o Online Entrepreneur Certification ASAP to get you “HOOKED” into the program.
The courses are intuitive and easy to follow, and the great thing is that you can go through them as many times as you need. Not all of us advance at the same pace!
The platform itself has pretty much everything built-in. You can start your first website with a few clicks in less than one minute [literally].
How to make money with Wealthy Affiliate
The whole program aims to teach how to build a niche website about something you are passionate about. Wealthy Affiliate has a slogan: “turn your passion into a thriving online business“.
If we break down this process into steps would be something like this:
- choose an interest, anything that you enjoy
- learn how to build a website/blog so you can create content around that interest
- learn how to bring visitors to that website using organic (free) traffic
- earn revenue from affiliate sales
Make sure to check » Tips on how to find a low competition niche that is profitable.
By the time you finish your online certification course, you will probably be the proud owner of a money-making website.
There is also the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program, where you earn money by referring other people to join the platform. You will earn a recurring commission if the referred member keeps their premium membership.
Get 300 premium sales in a year and become a super affiliate with an all-paid trip to Las Vegas, where you will meet the owners and other successful WA members.
That takes us to the next question…
Why are there 1000’s of Wealthy Affiliate Reviews?
Is it impossible to talk about the wealthy affiliate scam without talking about all the wealthy affiliate reviews out there…
What is the real reason behind so many WA reviews?
One of the most powerful WA training is the Affiliate Bootcamp. In this particular training, you will learn how to build your own money-making machine (website).
As part of this training, you learn everything about the “make money online” niche, which is highly competitive and not advisable without first finishing the Online Entrepreneur Certification.
You must make your personal wealthy affiliate review at this training stage. Obviously, this intends to promote and try to bring in more members.
When people mention the wealthy affiliate scam, they often mean this, WA teaches and trains people to promote their program! Aint this inappropriate?

Is Wealthy Affiliate a Scam? The real “why” for this question.
If WA is such a good program, why is the internet flooded with articles such as “is wealthy affiliate a scam” or “is wealthy affiliate legit”?
Almost everything we do in life is emotion/impulse oriented. With the information on the web, writers need to use all the weapons in their arsenal to stand out from the crowd. Triggering emotions or reverse phycology are two of the most common tactics online marketers use to compel their visitors to click on their articles.
Wealthy Affiliate success stories
Wealthy Affiliate success stories come in various ways; for some, the success is achieved when their post hits first place on the google page1 boosting their site visibility. for others, success is the achievement of certain milestones such as website visitors or the amount of $$$ made in a month.
Of course, the ultimate goal for any WA member is to become financially independent and earn a full-time income online.

Wealthy Affiliate Negative Reviews
You have to scavenge the web in search of these rarities, but there are some. No matter how hard you try, creating a perfect product/service is impossible.
WA is no different, but that is not the main reason you find negative Wealthy Affiliate Reviews.
There are two main reasons for you to find negative WA reviews on the web:
- People promote others “make money online” platforms.
Bashing other online programs is a “common” E-marketing tactic often used by marketers to get new leads and prospective customers. Not quite honorable but effective!
- Customer related problems
Sometimes people join Wealthy affiliate looking for a quick fix to make money. WA is not a make money online overnight scheme it requires the ability to take action, hard work, and commitment before you can reap the profits.
Some people upgrade their WA account from free to premium on day 1. Since it’s a monthly subscription, there is no refund policy. If you want to quit the program, you must cancel the subscription, and you will not be billed again.
But the thing is, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to upgrade their account on their first day!
Creating a WA free account allows you 7 days of “FREEMIUM.” Having access to premium resources help people figure out if WA is the right choice for them without having to upgrade.
If you feel like learning affiliate marketing and building a money-making website is not your thing, delete your WA free account or let it as it is since no credit card is involved.
