It was founded in 2006 and is still operating for more than 14 years. They have thousands of artists that are submitting and selling their custom designs in Redbubble.

Redbubble offers independent artists a chance to earn a living, while buyers can use original items, clothes, accessories, and everything between those categories. This website is not just for artists looking to earn income with the use of their designs, but it is also open for people who just want to browse and buy items with custom designs.

This website has been very successful in the years they have been in this industry. Maybe that is the reason why a lot of people think that they are just a scam. But is it really possible to earn from selling your custom designs? How can you do that with Redbubble? We will discuss that in the following segments.

Based on what I checked, Redbubble is a straightforward website to use. It is a print-on-demand website, so basically, they give their buyers the option to choose their own design and print it on the item they want, like t-shirts, mugs, and more.  

I also found out that Redbubble does not have an app, is only available on the website, which may be a downside for some buyers who want easy access to the website anytime.

Actually, part of the answer to that depends on you, let me explain. 

Redbubble has a base rate for each item that you will upload and sell. That is the price for them to print and ship the item. Then they also have the artist margin. This is where you will earn as this serves as the royalty per sale. By default, this is set to 20%, but you can set this higher or lower. 

Resuming, the base rate + the artist margin = retail price that the customer needs to pay for the item.

The Quality Of Prints.

There are complaints about the quality of Redbubble prints, and reports say that some are blurry. This makes people wonder about their quality control standards, which is crucial for any business, online or not.

Redbubble should ensure that all of its products are of good quality not to affect artists or sellers.

Not For Everyone.

As mentioned earlier, this type of industry is not for everyone. Besides having good graphic design skills, which not all of us are good at, it is essential to have a good dose of creativity and originality. We all have different aptitudes and should choose to work on something we really enjoy and are proficient at. Only designs that stand out will be successful on Redbubble.

This is good for someone who wants to start an online business and does not want to invest in membership fees.

You can choose to be paid through Paypal or wire transfer. 

Please note that you need to reach a $20 threshold before getting any payment from Redbubble. 

Payments are processed on the 15th day of each month except if they fall on a weekend. In this case, they’ll be processed in the next workday. 

If you choose to be paid through Paypal, it will only take a couple of days to get the money into your account. Just make sure to use a verified account so you can get your automatic payments smoothly. 

Bank payments can take up to 7 business days.
