What is Gaming Jobs Online?

gaming jobs online homepage

Gaming Jobs Online is a website that offers you opportunities to work at home by playing video games.

It claims that you can finally beat the rat race and you can work without noisy alarm clocks and schedules. If you are tired of deadlines and a boss telling you to do this and that, you can be your own boss with Gaming Jobs Online.

The website clearly states that you can get paid to play games, test or review new and unreleased games, you can even get free game consoles, memory cards, controllers and many more to test and review.

Plus, you can even go to game conferences, launches, exhibits and conventions like E3 and Japan Game Expo. Another thing, you will also be introduced to special walkthroughs, cheat codes, and secrets that only the best and brightest game testers know about.

You can play and test out video games from their partners which are of major corporations like Nintendo, Rockstar, EA, CAPCOM, Ubisoft, and SEGA. It sounds crazy, right?

You can also choose from loads of rewards and incentives from your subscription to Gaming Jobs Online like getting cash for testing games, receiving free gaming accessories, receiving free games, receive Xbox and PlayStation Plus live points and vouchers.

gaming jobs online rewards

These opportunities are not just found in the US, but over 150 countries are offering you the privilege to test video games.

Take a look at how Gaming Jobs Online explain what it is all about.

All this just sounds too good to be true, right? Yeah, it is. This is the dream job. However, it will still be just a dream.

Everything I have stated above is how Gaming Jobs Online should really work. But honey, the reality isn’t even close to anything they are claiming.

Is Gaming Jobs Online legit? Before we get to that part, let us first know how it really works.

How Does Gaming Jobs Online Really Work?

gaming jobs online setup

Right off the bat, when you visit their website found on, you can be a member of Gaming Jobs Online by clicking ‘Join Now’ on the upper right side of the website.

There are no free trials, so you will have to pay $5 to be a member. If you are not satisfied with your subscription they offer you a 60 day money back guarantee. This is not so bad when you look at it. However, it wasn’t always this cheap.

In the past, they offer you a trial period of 1 week for just a dollar. Then, you would have to pay $27 as an initial sign up fee. You also have to pay recurring fees of $27 per month.

Looking back at history, you would see that they have gone really cheaper. This must be an indication that customers are dwindling down and many former customers are now unsatisfied with the services they are providing.

Creating an account is fairly easy. Once you have done that, you will be logged into your Gaming Jobs Online account. The next step will have you scratching your heads. It clearly says that you find a job. The problem is, where are the job postings?

When you are logged in, you will see links that is supposedly going to direct you to job posting in relation to video games. However, you will be redirected to opportunities that are not at all related to video games.

One link directed us to an opportunity to be in a focus group. These focus groups are not eligible for everyone and they are definitely not video game related.

Sure, you can make up to $150 per hour with focus groups but it is hard to qualify for these since researchers have standards for their participants.

The website also indicates that you can make from $5 to $75 taking surveys. Now, hold on a minute, surveys on a website that offers gaming jobs? I am confused. Just like the pattern we are seeing here, these surveys have nothing to do with video games.

You will see that there are real and actual job position posted there. It’s odd though. They have openings for healthcare jobs, IT specialists, and claims consultant. There is obviously no correlation forming there.

Fortunately, you would occasionally come across jobs in relation to video game testing. I have seen it, and the job posting looks legit. The thing is, it is not an online job in which you can work from home with a laptop or your own game console. It is just like any other regular job, in which you apply and work on site.

Everything is damn misleading.

How Much Can You Earn With Gaming Jobs Online?

gaming jobs online calculator

Gaming Jobs Online offers a calculator on their website in which you can estimate how much you are bound to earn. There is nothing special here, though. You only input how much you want to make in an hour, how many hours per day and how many days in a week you want to work.

However, it’s problematic how they let you input how much you want to make in an hour. The thing with testing video games is that you don’t get to decide how much you’re getting just like any other job.

Plus, you don’t get to decide how many hours or days you get to work on it. Testing video games is deadline based. These deadlines are usually within a month. The hourly basis on the calculator is complete BS.

This calculator really just plays on your desire to think that you can make a 5 digit income within a year by just playing video games. Don’t be fooled by it!

Is Gaming Jobs Online legit? Well, whatever you want to believe in, I am going to show you reasons why I think that it is a complete scam!

What Makes Gaming Jobs Online a Scam?

Unrealistic Claims

When you visit their website, you will be greeted with a too good to be true statement saying “Discover how you too can easily make up to an average of $49,063 a year enjoying yourself as a professional video game tester getting paid to play video games.”

Lots of scams randomly throw people numbers to lure them in, and Gaming Jobs Online is one of those. Sure, you can reach that amount of money, but it doesn’t come to you easily as what they have stated. You’re going to have to work for it with all your power. Plus, testing video games do not really pay a lot so this is just a lie.

They also claim that you can make $5 to $75 for each survey that you complete. Okay, here’s the thing. Online paid surveys don’t pay a lot. When you complete a survey, it usually just pays you cents. If you are lucky, you might even get paid with a dollar.

Unconvincing Reviews

This is common with websites that turn out to be complete scams. Most of the reviews aren’t convincing enough to make me believe that I can really make an income as a video game tester.

I mean, when I read it, it just feels so unnatural. It makes me think that being a video game tester is such a life changing job.

Sorry hardcore gamers, but later on I will explain why it is not really the best job out there.

I’ll do you one better. If you think that I am talking crap then let me give you solid evidence.

The Ryan Carter on there does not exist. The picture? You can see his picture anywhere on the web, indicating that it is a stock photo.

Saw this picture at another website offering video game testing positions.

Oh, and Henry Williams? It seems that this Henry Williams does not exist either. It’s hiding behind the face of a random guy working in a coffee shop. Okay? How can you be earning money playing video games while you’re working in a coffee shop?

Nice try.

Not Really For Fun

Gaming Jobs Online overhypes the thought of being a video game tester. I mean, I get it, advertising means that you are going to make people believe in too good to be true claims. This is how things work, and I am telling you, don’t believe any of the hype.

The website tells you that you can earn money while doing what you enjoy the most – playing video games. However, if you would ask video game testers, you will know that it pays quite low and you have strict deadlines to follow. Also, you need to hold certain qualifications and of course, you need extensive gaming experience.

All the crap on making your own schedules and having no one to boss you around is all a lie.

Since the purpose of video game testers is to find flaws of unreleased games, this means that you may have to deal with games that have loads of bug and you may have to play over and over again until you have found each and every flaw.

You may find enjoyment with that but it is not very rewarding like what they have claimed.

Where are The Games?

gaming jobs online review

I don’t get the marketing strategies here at all. You are subscribing to Gaming Jobs Online because you want jobs that are related to video games. When you log in, you will be presented with survey invitations. It just doesn’t make sense. It would make sense for a little bit if the surveys were related to video games but still, no.

Plus, the focus groups do earn you proper money but still, it can’t relate. And the job postings? Correlation still not found.

Fortunately, there are job postings about video games, but the advertisements are all wrong. They say that you can work inside your home, but the job postings are just like any other other jobs ever, applying and working on site.

It might not be a problem because technically it is still a job. However, everything is just so misleading.

Suspicious Affiliate Network

Gaming Jobs Online is a part of the affiliate network called ClickBetter which doesn’t really have a clean and great reputation among affiliate marketers.

It’s Outdated

Most of the links on the website can not be clicked at all. Plus, to make things worse, even if you can click on the link, it’s dead. Yeah, there is nothing to be found there. The job posts are outdated, too. Some job posts are already taken while others are due years ago.

It seems that scammers have already juiced out everything from this website and is now moving on to another scam.

What I Like About Gaming Jobs Online

Might be For Some Use After All

Okay, there actually might be some use to your $5 after all. There are videos posted on the website which gives you information regarding how you can make money by making your own video game website.

But is it really worth your $5? You can find free courses on Youtube talking about the exact topics on how to make your own video website. It is not worth it to spend $5 for these videos.

60 Day Money Back Guarantee

They have the guts to give you a 60 day money back guarantee because they are so confident with what they have put up on the internet. I had to laugh.

But even if I find their premise sort of irrational, I think this money back guarantee is definitely a necessity since we don’t want our money to be wasted on a scam.

My Final Thoughts! Is Gaming Jobs Online Legit?

No, I don’t think that Gaming Jobs Online is legit. This website is very misleading. It does not lead you to any jobs relating to video games or if you do come to stumble upon one, it is not home based unlike what they have advertised.

You will just be served with surveys and postings to focus groups in which you can find elsewhere for free. These aren’t even video game related.

At the very least, they do provide you with informative videos on how you can create your own video game website. Yet again, you can find videos with the same topic on Youtube for free.

Also, they overhype you with big numbers and overhype you with fake promises. Don’t believe anything they say.

The website is useless, I don’t think it is worth spending $5 and even if you can get it back again, it is still not worth the time.
