What is FlexJobs?

FlexJobs is a website that lets a lot of people find their dream job which is to work from home. This company was founded by Sara Sutton in 2007 and its main office was located in Denver, Colorado. They have been in this industry for more than 10 years now but still, a lot of people are thinking that they are just a scam.

FlexJobs website.

Their website is flexjobs.com wherein you will find a lot of jobs to choose from, it can be freelance work, full-time and part-time job. FlexJobs make sure that they fully screened the employers that they have on their website before they can start hiring someone, this is to make sure that no one will be scammed by an employer that is under their website.

However, they just don’t offer jobs that are remotely done, they also have some job posting that has fixed locations. I tried to visit their website and I can see a lot of job openings, it looks promising especially for those who are just starting their journey to work from home or work independently. It seems that FlexJobs has a lot more to offer to us.

How Does FlexJobs Work?

This works like the usual website that offers a huge number of jobs that can be done remotely or onsite. They have over 55 job categories to offer from entry-level experience to an expert level of experience. And again, this was all screened one by one by a real person from FlexJobs so they can get rid of scammers that are all over the internet nowadays. However, in order for you to enjoy the security that FlexJobs offer, you need to pay a monthly fee that includes access to the listings, some pieces of training to enhance your skills and discounts to some events under FlexJobs.

How do I get a job at FlexJobs?

In order for you to enjoy and get to hunt jobs at FlexJobs, you need to pay their monthly subscription fee. You have the freedom to choose how will you going to pay them when creating your account. It can be:

All of these subscriptions will give you unlimited access to their job posts, skill training, discounts offer and resources that you can use in finding the right job for you. Plus you will have the chance to create your customized portfolio, upload your profile picture together with your resume and work samples.

Is FlexJobs worth paying for?

With this question, I can say that somehow it is worth paying for especially if you already have enough experience in doing freelance work. It will be more easy for you to find work that can help you cover the monthly subscription you will have for FlexJobs.

However, if you are a newbie or someone that is just new in this kind of work. It would be best to fuel yourself with enough experience or skills before going into this battle. It would always be nice to ready in everything that you will do.

If you are browsing the web looking for another source of income don’t worry, there are a lot of ways that you can do to earn money online.

Can You Make Money With FlexJobs?

Definitely you can earn money with FlexJobs especially if you are already aware of how freelancing works. You just need to supply yourself with good training in order for you to come up with a great client that can really give you pay that can sustain your monthly necessities. Earning money with FlexJobs will depend on yourself, there are a lot of reviews and testimonials that they were able to find the right job for them at FlexJobs and maybe it is time for you to give it a try as well.

What I Don’t Like About FlexJobs.

But of course, there is still something to improve on their website. It is important for you to know the things that you need to consider thinking twice. Here are the things that I don’t like about FlexJobs.

Their Subscription Fee.

Maybe this is the way of the company to earn money, but if you are going to research all over the internet you will find a website that offers the same service but the only difference is it is for free. There is still free information with FlexJobs website, however, if you are going to apply for that specific job it will require you to pay the subscription fee before you can proceed.

Not enough information.

Given that you are paying a subscription fee for FlexJobs in order to send applications to different employers, the information given to each job posts is not sufficient, you cannot even see what is the salary offer for that work. That plays a big role in every job application, you want to make sure that you are going to be paid according to the experience that you have and not wasting any time applying for a low salary job.

They have a few remote jobs.

As per research, there is only 30% of a job posting which is work from home opportunity. This means that the other percentage is you need to have a fixed location or you need to report directly to their office, so you might as well go directly to the office rather than spending $14 a month and still you need to work office-based job.

What I Like About FlexJobs.

There are also things that I like about FlexJobs. And here they are.

BBB ratings.

They have an excellent rating with the Better Business Bureau or BBB which has a big role in every business and company out there. This is where most of us are basing the legitimacy of a company.

They have free helpful information.

FlexJobs does have some information available on their website that can help you with your job hunting and the good thing about this is it will not require you to have a subscription in order to access it, meaning it is all for free.

Is FlexJobs a Scam? My Final Verdict.

And we are down to my final verdict, for me, based on what I researched about them, they are not a scam. They really have jobs to offer to all of us, it’s just that they have a monthly subscription that is why a lot of people thinking that they are just fooling but they are not. Earning will just require you a lot and concrete skills to serve as your main key to success with them.
