How Does Displate Work?
The way Displate works if somehow different from another website out there. Displate is basically customizing your art and print it into a large metal plate, however, they also have an online store wherein they are allowing various artists to collaborate and post their art on there and by doing that once a person was able to purchase it, they will a have a big portion on its sales. So there are actually two ways for you to earn money with Displate which we are going to discuss in the coming segment.
How do you become a Displate artist?
All you need to do is sign up on their website which will take you around 5 minutes to set up your free account. It is very easy and smooth but when it comes to uploading your artwork they have some guidelines about it that you can check once you have successfully signed up as their new member.
Can You Make Money on Displate?
This is the most asked question for every review and also the most exciting part. Is it really possible to make money with Displate? I can say that it is is possible and for how and how much it is, just keep on reading.
How do you sell on Displate?
The first way is for you to sell your art piece on their online store. This is what they called “earning as an artist”, wherein you just need to upload your artwork and once it was sold you will get a commission from it. The good thing about selling your artwork with Displate is you have the freedom to set how much will be the cost of your artwork, and not just the price but your commission as well. By that, you can really show and get the worth of the artwork that you did with the help of Displate.
Your artwork can be purchase in different sizes which also comes in different prices that you will set, however, they have a policy for what is the minimum price you can set and what is the maximum. And when it comes to how much you can earn, it seems that it is somehow low because though you can set the commission still they have a maximum amount for that. Normally the maximum commission is 30% of the maximum price of each artwork you have.
Let say you set the price to $54, you will have a maximum commission of $14. Maybe you find it unfair since you worked hard for your hard work, but considering that Displate will take care of everything for you especially in marketing it and even shipping the artwork itself, it is still worth it.
And now let’s go on the second way to earn money with Displate, you can your artwork on sake on your own website if you have or even in any social media accounts that you have, this is an affiliate program. Once someone bought your artwork with the use of the affiliate link you have on your website, you will easily get a 25% commission. And the good thing about this is, you can share affiliate links of other artwork as well.

It is not for everyone.
Obviously, you can only have the chance to earn with Displate if you have great creativity or in short, being an artist. They are selling posters and different artworks so it is required to have a good sense of creativity or else you will not earn and end up wasting time and effort.
A long wait for the payment.
One of the reasons why some of us are looking for ways to earn money online is that we want instant money or fast money. However, it is different from Displate, Once you have your money available on your Displate account it will take you 45 days before you will receive the payment which is way too long compared to others.
What I Like About Displate.
But of course, there are things that I like about Displate that you may also agree with, and here are those.
An account is free.
It is a big factor that creating your account with them is for free and will not ask you to pay for any membership before you can enjoy their services or perks. So you don’t need to worry if you will get a commission or not, but still, you invest time and effort with your artwork, you need to consider that as well.
They have a lot of positive feedback.
This is one of the biggest things that you need to consider if you have plans trying out something. It is important to read reviews and actual customer feedback. And this is what good about Displate, I cannot even saw a negative review about them which is good and very promising.
Is Displate a Scam? My Final Thoughts.
For all the research I had and the feedback I have heard about Displate, I can say that they are not a scam. It is just this way of earning money is not for everyone. This is also why some easily think that Displate is a scam, maybe the way on how you will get paid and it will take you more than a month to get the payment.
