There are a ton of opportunities to make money online. I noticed this company Farmasi as I was buying cosmetics and makeup for my wife on Amazon. It seemed familiar as I’ve been in this affiliate marketing business for a long time already reviewing all sorts of making money online (MMO) opportunities – and that includes multi-level marketing companies.
It seemed familiar when I saw the name Farmasi, and so I did some digging of my own. As it turns out, Farmasi is indeed one of those MLMs. What I found out further as I dug deeper surprised me and had me thinking if this MLM is one of those pyramid schemes in disguise, or is it?
Just to get something out of the way, I am in no way affiliated with Farmasi. You can expect this Farmasi review to be free of bias and BS.
Also, I commend you for making your research first on this company before completely diving into it. Some people take the bait without hesitation but seeing that you have made your way here, you’re different from the rest of them.
In this Farmasi review, I am going to tell you more and everything about this multi-level marketing company. Stay tune-up until the end of this blog post and see if this is something you should get involved with!
What is Farmasi All About?
Farmasi is a company employing a business model of direct sales and multi-level marketing selling and promoting their line of beauty products including skincare, fragrances, and makeup among others. We’ll be going into detail later on concerning their vast line of products!
The company is founded by Dr. C. Tuna in Turkey. Tuna was born in 1923 in Edirne, Turkey, a city located on the Bulgaria border of Turkey. After completing his high school education, he moved to Germany to study at Goethe Medical School.
Tuna established one of the first pharmaceutical factories in Turkey back in 1952, named Tege Pharmaceutical Factory. Then, in 1998, he established Tanalize Cosmetics, and soon enough, Tuna established Farmasi Cosmetics.
Farmasi is now producing more than 2000 different beauty products including the Dr. C. Tuna range, which is the medical series of a company wherein he served as the honorary president.
Unfortunately, the mastermind of Farmasi passed away in 2017. Nevertheless, in his 63 years of professional business life, Tuna held his principles of loving his work, that people are the most valuable assets of a company, and investing more in the prioritization of educating their employees in the pursuit to create flawless business partners.
It’s a relatively new company in the U.S. market, as it had only expanded in the U.S. back in 2019. But the company had been thriving for 68 years already. Thus, it should tell us that Farmasi is not joking around when it comes to their products and building a solid community of beauty influencers all around the world. In fact, as of now, Farmasi already has 3 million representatives worldwide.
So far so good, right? In the next part of this Farmasi review, we’ll be moving on to their product line.
What is Farmasi’s Product Line?
It’s remarkable to note that since Farmasi is originally founded and based in Turkey, they are not instilling cruelty on animals by testing their products unlike what U.S. makeup lines are employing. Farmasi is 100% cruelty-free.
They do not test their products on animals. They also do not use endangered plant species as ingredients in their products. You also don’t have to worry about your Farmasi makeup and cosmetic products making use of heavy metals like formaldehyde and paraben among others. Thus, your skin shouldn’t be damaged by their products.
Now, moving on. What is the range of their product lines? The Farmasi official website has an online catalog from which you can view all their products.
Nevertheless, if you are only interested in the multi-level marketing aspect of the company, here’s a quick overview of all their products to give you an idea.

They also have products for men. You’ll see a line of perfume, shampoo, shaving creams, and many more.
Farmasi also takes into consideration that you won’t be able to continue your skincare routine if you’re going to travel. Of course, who wants to carry around big bottles of moisturizers when you can use that space for your clothes? So, they also offer a line of products fit for travel. How convenient is that?
Here are also some of its flagship products.
The price of their products falls in the range of $5 to $50. You’d also be delighted that most of the products are under $20! The company claims that for such an affordable price, the quality of the products is not sacrificed. This is what they say, what about what their customers and clients think of their products? Let’s take a look at some Farmasi reviews later on.
If this affordable-high quality dynamic of Farmasi products feel blown out of proportion to you, you may want to check out this video and hear some reviews on the products itself.
Is Farmasi A Pyramid Scheme?
So, Farmasi has a massive line of products. How do they sell these? The company states upfront that they are a direct sales company. What are direct sales, anyway?
Well, direct sales is a business model wherein independent contractors, or beauty consultants (that’s what they’re called in the beauty industry), sell the products of a company to potential customers. Once they sold a product, they earn a commission. Direct sales are the same as multi-level marketing.
But here’s the catch.
When it comes to MLMs, on top of selling a company’s products to others, you also earn commissions for recruiting more members to be in your team. When your team builds their own downlines, you also make money from this.
Now, doesn’t this business model also seem kind of familiar? Recruitment, building teams, and downlines – it smells like a pyramid scheme.
If you’re not in the niche of online businesses, you’re probably confused with all these terms I am spitting in front of you. I know, it kind of sounds like BS at first. But hear me out first.
Pyramid scheme is an illegitimate and illegal business model in which companies that employ this do not have actual products and services to offer. The only way to make money from this model business is to recruit other people and build downlines. These companies only make it look like they have something to sell, but this is all just a façade.
In other words, companies that employ this business model are vile scammers. They’re only out there to make you feel like you’re going to make a lot of money. But in reality, it’s the ones at the top who are going to take the cake – leaving the mass of people at the bottom with only the crumbs.
You don’t have to worry though. Both of the business models that Farmasi employs are legitimate and safe. You just have to watch out for pyramid schemes and learn to differentiate when an MLM is actually a pyramid scheme in disguise.
As you can see from the line of products I have shown you earlier, Farmasi does indeed have a hefty line of products. It’s not just for show. They really do have products to sell and a lot of people buy their products for being high-quality while also being affordable for almost every man and woman to enjoy.

Once you’re a beauty consultant of Farmasi, you may be wondering how you’re going to sell their products. Of course, you can sell their products to your friends and family, but what comes after that?
Well, Farmasi also gives you a website. From there, you can create a store showcasing the products of Farmasi. This is fascinating and practical at the same time because almost everyone shops online nowadays.
However, this could be a disadvantage if you don’t know anything about running an online business. There are lots of ropes you have to learn for you to make a profit out of this business model. It’s not just “pick a template, layout all the products, and leave it” kind of work. Your website needs to generate traffic and you must learn how to utilize search engines or else your business will sink to the ground.
To make matters worse, Farmasi is also not planning to train you either. Once you become their beauty consultant, you’re pretty much on your own.
Farmasi’s Compensation Plan
For every product you sell, you’re going to earn a 50% commission. That’s right, you’re getting 50% for every product you sell. Take this Dr. C. Tuna Pure Rose Water Cleansing Gel which retails for $14.90. Do the math, and you’re making $7.45 per bottle you will sell.
You are also given the benefit of having a 50% discount if you want to purchase Farmasi products! Think about it, if you’re not even serious about making money with Farmasi, at least you’re going to save a lot of money for your makeup!
But you don’t have to worry much if you’re not earning as expected in your first few months. You’re not going to be fired or something like that if you don’t meet your monthly quota because there’s no quota begin with!
Lots of companies employing the same business model usually set a quota for their representatives but this isn’t the case with Farmasi at all. I guess the will of Dr. C. Tuna lives on in the company since his principles always said to value their employees above all else. You just have to sell what you can sell and try better the next month. That’s how they roll.
Despite Farmasi’s hefty and tasty compensation plan, being a beauty consultant of Farmasi isn’t something to rely on if you’re planning to quit your job. In fact, Farmasi is quite honest as they don’t tell you that you’re going to earn thousands by the day unlike what other companies make you believe.
As stated in their Income Disclaimer, “The average annual gross revenue for Entrepreneurs is projected to be anywhere between $500 and $2,000. Please note: These numbers do not reflect the expenses associated with building a Farmasi business, which could exceed the commissions received.”
If you have a massive source of traffic and a rock-solid base of followers, and if you’re knowledgeable when it comes to online businesses – Farmasi is your best bet. If not, then some pocket money is as far as your Farmasi membership goes.
You can view Farmasi’s full compensation plan on its website.
Cons of Being A Beauty Consultant With Farmasi
Doesn’t Replace Your Regular Income
Even Farmasi themselves are telling you that you’re only going to make around $500 to $2000 on an annual basis. It’s not going to replace your regular and stable source of income. Better think twice before you hand in that resignation letter!
I mean, this is expectant of companies employing the business model of multi-level marketing. That’s why I’m not a fan of it.
I’m more of an affiliate marketing type of guy. It provides me better income and with it I could proudly say that I own this business and it’s not someone else’s. Come check it out for yourself!
It’s A Bloodbath Out There
Choosing the right lipstick for my wife is a pain in the ass. No, it’s not because I’m a man but because there are a lot of brands of lipsticks. Seriously. I don’t even know how to differentiate these brands! Which is good? Which is trash?
You see, this market is incredibly competitive. There are giant companies in the beauty industry but every now and then you’ll also see small and independent names trying to break into the market and fighting over a spot in the channels of beauty vloggers.
Selling Farmasi’s products may be even harder than you thought especially if you don’t know how to generate traffic and utilize search engines!
No Training Provided
Once you get your starter kit and your website, you’re pretty much on your own. They wouldn’t even bother providing you some videos and a bit of educational content, at the very least. For a founder holding the principle that employees are the most important assets of a company, they’re letting Tuna down.
You won’t see a lot of complaints online about Farmasi. Probably because it’s only in its initial stage of breaking through the U.S. market, but if you’re going to search for Farmasi complaints, most of it involves refunds.
Though the company does state that “The refund shall be 80% of the purchase price or product credit of equivalent value, and shall not include the shipping and handling charges you incurred. In the event of defective or damaged products, the Company will cover all shipping charges as detailed more fully in the Policies and Procedures.”
Even if this return policy is clear as day, it’s a let-down if they don’t address these refund complaints in the future professionally.
What I Like About Farmasi
It’s a Legitimate Company
This company has been in this industry for over 68 years now. It started in Turkey and is now making its way to the U.S. market. It has more than 3 million representatives worldwide at the time of writing. All of it supports the fact that Farmasi is not joking around with their business. Their credibility is something people can rely on that they are not scammers.
High-Quality Affordable Products
Their products have a high quality-affordable dynamic that we don’t see very much nowadays in the beauty industry. It’s cruelty-free, doesn’t use endangered plant species, and does not contain harsh and heavy metals like formaldehyde and paraben. Thus, your skin wouldn’t have to suffer!
Also, their products should also prove to us that they are indeed an MLM and not a pyramid scheme.
No Unnecessary BS, Just The Harsh Truth
Farmasi wouldn’t tell you that you’re going to be rich by being a representative. Other companies in the same business model would tell you lies and will make you believe that joining them is a lifetime opportunity that will turn your life around for the better.
Even if it’s the harsh truth, Farmasi will always tell you upfront what to expect and I think that’s commendable.
Tasty Compensation Plan
50% commission is not something you’re going to see that much when it comes to MLMs. This is a generous move on the side of Farmasi, and their beauty consultants are enjoying it. Plus, you also get a 50% discount for all their products. Well, my wife wouldn’t mind!
No Monthly Quotas
Yes, that’s right. It’s another aspect that most MLMs don’t employ. You don’t have to worry about not reaching your quota for the month because there’s no quota to begin with! Just sell what you can and if you didn’t do well this month, you can always try again the next time around.
Cheap One Time Start-up Cost
Getting started with Farmasi is dirt cheap. For $19.99, you’re already running a business!
My Final Verdict on Farmasi Review! Is Farmasi A Pyramid Scheme?
Farmasi is definitely not a pyramid scheme. It’s not a scam and you can expect to legally earn with Farmasi. Their products and compensation plan are the real deal. I have never seen an MLM be so generous and fair to their representatives. I guess you could say that Dr. C. Tuna really rubbed off his beliefs to the company and its leaders.
However, do I recommend you to quit your job and be a permanent beauty consultant for Farmasi? No. That’s fools play. I also wouldn’t recommend you to go near any MLM company, for that matter. This business model is not just good in general. You’re not getting any stable source of income here, and you’re also not making a name for yourself.
There are better business models in the industry of online businesses. One of my favorites would definitely have to be affiliate marketing. In fact, it’s my number 1 source of income. I was taught how to make money online the right and proper way with incredibly helpful training resources. Plus, I can be proud enough to say that I own an online business with My Own Admin.
You can also start your own online business, forget about those MLMs. This is a real opportunity for you!
